Imam-e-Hai pays rich tributes to Mirwaiz Farooq, Abdul Gani Lone

Imam of historic Jamia Masjid Syed Ahmed Sayed Naqashbandi popularly known as Imam-e-Hai on Saturday paid glowing tributes to Shaheed-e-Milat Moulana Mirwaiz Muhammad Farooq (RA) and Shaheed-e-Hurriyat Khawaja Abdul Gani Lone on their anniversaries stating that the duo never compromised on their principles.

In a statement here, the Imam-e-Hai said that late MirwaizFarooq started his career as a youngster from a platform of United Forum forthe recovery of Mo-e-Muqadas (holy relic) and till his last breath remainedcommitted towards the goal and worked for the unity of people of Kashmir.

   

Paying tributes to Moulana Farooq for his capabilities,intellect and political efficiency, the Imam-e-Hai  said that the leader as against conventionalpoliticians of Kashmir, was a public friendly and remained committed andcontinued to work for the prosperity, peace and security of the State and wasvery keen for a good and prosperous relations between India and Pakistan.”Although, being a supporter of plebiscite, he proposed tripartite conferenceto arrive at a resolution of the issue so that the Kashmiri people wouldparticipate as an important party along with the India and Pakistan,” theImam-e-Hai said.

He said Shaheed-e-Hurriyat, Khawja Abdul Gani Lone was aprime politician with very high intellect. “He was keen for peaceful solutionof Kashmir issue without any bloodshed. Lone till his last breath, representeda passion for unity and cooperation among Kashmiri masses,” the Imam-e-Haisaid. “People of Kashmir should adopt the ideology of these great martyrs andmove forward on the track laid these great leaders.”
