Jammu and Kashmir People’s Movement (JKPM) president Shah Faesal today said on his maiden visit to Kashmir as Home Minister, Amit Shah should inaugurate a new age of engagement and reach out to people of the state.
“Central government led by PM NarendraModi has anextraordinary opportunity to take bold decisions on Kashmir and bring peace toValley while taking all stakeholders on board,” Shah Faesal said in astatement.
He said, “For initiation of dialogue process, resumption ofCross LoC trade, freeing of political prisoners who are in jails for minoroffenses, among other political initiatives needed at this hour.”
Shah Faesal also called for immediate implementation ofUniversal Basic Income scheme for BPL households of the State, age relaxationof UPSC/JEE IIT aspirants from J&K, improvement of inter-provincial roadconnectivity and four-laning if Srinagar-Salamabad, Srinagar-Teetwal roads.
He expressed hope that the Home Minister would facilitatecreation of an environment of peace in which developmental activity will pickup and tourism potential of the state would l be harnessed.
