Jammu and Kashmir Police on Thursday claimed to haverecovered arms and ammunition in a forest area of Handwara in north Kashmir’sKupwara district.
“Based on a credible input, Handwara Police with theassistance of security forces recovered incriminating materials in the forestarea of Wader Rajwar, Handwara,” said a spokesman.
Police have recovered incriminating materials includingarms, ammunition from the hidden dump of fields in the forest area, he said.
A case FIR No. 64/2020 under relevant sections of law hasbeen registered in Police Station Handwara and investigation into the matterhas been initiated.
The incriminating materials recovered have been seized bythe police and taken into case records for the purpose of investigation.
