India, Pak PMs should discuss Kashmir: NPP

Srinagar, July 19: Seeking the direct involvement of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for a solution to the Kashmir issue, National Panthers Party today urged him to engage his Pakistani counterpart Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani in a dialogue on the issue.
 “We urge the PM to initiate serious direct talks with Pakistan
 PM to find a solution to the complicated Kashmir problem”, NPP chairman Bhim Singh told reporters here.
 He said under the Shimla agreement, signed between the two countries in 1972, India and Pakistan had agreed to continue the talks at the level of heads of the states till final settlement of the issue.
