Internet continued to remain suspended in Kashmir capital Srinagar on Thursday for the second consecutive day.
The service was suspended yesterday morning in the wake of gunfight in Fateh Kadal that left two militants, a civilian and a policeman dead.
An official said that the service was shut “as a precautionary measure” to prevent spreading of rumours.
Meanwhile, a complete shutdown is being observed in Kashmir valley today on the call of Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) against militant killings and “repression”.
High speed Internet continues to remain suspended in south Kashmir districts of Anantnag, Kulgam, Shopian and Pulwama.
