Residents of Malik Sahib Gojwara have appealed the concerned authorities to repair the drains in the area. This drain water is seeping into the basement of the residential houses and it can have dangerous consequences. We appeal SMC commissioner to direct the concerned to repair these drains.

Gopalpora residents appeal to Chief Engineer PDD
From last more than a month Gopalpora Chadoora in Srinagar outskirts is witnessing unscheduled power cuts. Had this been due to negligence of local residents due to overloading or some fault at the receiving station, locals would not have complained about it, but the problem is that local power supply line that comes from Bagh e Mehtab and feeds Gopalpora , Alamdar Bagh and Zoolwa areas passes via Gulzar Pora. This is a big headache for a huge population from last almost 10 years now. The line develops technical snag off and on, especially during winter months. We have been urging the authorities to let this power supply line directly go via Bagh e Mehtab -Chadoora road instead of diverging it via Gulzar Pora. There may be some technical issues involved but all the problems have some solution. Let Chief Engineer PDD Kashmir Qazi Hashmat take concerned citizens into confidence and start deliberating on this problem. We are sure he would arrive at a decision that would be acceptable to all.

We request the concerned authorities to conduct the written test for junior assistant posts, which were advertised by Jammu and Kashmir High Court in April 2018.

NYCs urge admin to release their salary
This refers to the National Youth Corps who were engaged after six years struggle in the month of April 2018. NYCs were deployed with eight different departments viz Education, RDD, YSS, Social Welfare, DC offices, Revenue department, Sports Council & Disaster Management. But we are without salary right from our new joining in April 2018. We draw a meager salary of Rs 2500/pm and that too has been withheld for past nine months. We urge the Governor’s administration to release our salaries and mitigate our sufferings.

Aspirants urge J&K bank to postpone exams
J&K bank is going to conduct the exams for probationary officers and banking associate posts from February 21 onwards. We the aspirants got little time to prepare during the winters on the other hand syllabus is large which needs enough time to prepare. We request the J&K bank authorities to postpone the exam dates by two to three weeks so that we can get enough time for preparation.
