Teachers without salary
Hundreds of teachers in Baramula district are without salary for the last two months. Eighteen high schools falling under the "plan" category of salary component have not been allotted any funds for salary since November 2013. Hundreds of teachers and their families are on the verge of forced hunger and the current severe climatic conditions have worsened the economical conditions of affected employees. The district administration is delaying the allocation of the salary allotment of funds. The concerned officials should look into this matter.

BSNL Disconnects
My BSNL broadband gets disconnected more often than it connects. The service is very poor. Even after three months of lodging a complaint I still face disconnection problems. My calls to the BSNL office didn't solve the problem. I didn't pay Rs 950 per month for such a poor service.

BSNL disappoints
I got a BSNL broadband connection two months ago. Since then my connection is not functional even when I deposit the bill before the completion of the month. When I ask for the reasons from their exchange, they say card is not working and that there is some problem in the port etc. They have not been able to sort out issues with my BSNL broadband connection. How long will BSNL make us suffer?

Where's final selection list?
Prisons Dept. J&K has advertised the posts of warders in the year 2005 in which about 24000 candidates applied from various districts of J&K. After a long interval of five years, in 2010 the physical/measurement tests were conducted in which 1200 candidates were shortlisted for written tests and interview. All the tests and interviews were conducted in a transparent manner but from 2010 the Dept. of Prisons has failed to issue the final selection list for which we are waiting from the past seven years. Most of us have crossed the upper age limits. For many years we protested in hundreds of sit-ins and hunger strikes in Srinagar and Jammu simultaneously but to no avail. We request the concerned authorities to issue final selection list as early as possible.

Declare results
We the students of Government Polytechnic Leh demand that our result must be declared as JK State Board of Technical Education conducted our examinations about three months ago and yet results have not been declared. We approached the concerned office but they have turned their back on us.  We contacted the secretary of technical board but he is not serious to solve our problems. Why didn't the administration of Board of Technical Education declare the results of just 400 students in three months?

Provide Transport
Hundreds of students of north Kashmir including students from district Baramulla, Kupwara, Bandipora and Budgam and Srinagar city who are studying in the University of Kashmir (KU) and National Institute of Technology (NIT), Hazratbal face many problems while commuting. The transport facilities from Qamarwari Chowk or Batamallo to Kashmir University, Hazratbal should be upgraded and the State Transport Department should start Tata Sumo services on this route. Mini buses plying from Qamarwari and Batamallo chowk to Kashmir University take at least two hours to cover 10 kilometers as drivers take routes of the old Srinagar city. Female students are facing number of problems in jam packed mini buses. We usually miss our morning classes due to slow transport services. We seek the intervention of higher officials, particularly Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Kashmir, to issue orders of starting the Sumo service from Batamalo to Hazratbal. This will save our time and we will not miss our classes if Sumo vehicles are pressed into service on this route.

Careers at stake
We, a group of Mass communication and Journalism graduates from Kashmir University, are running from pillar to post to get information about setting up of IGNOU's FM radio station, Gyan Vani, here in Srinagar. We had appeared in the auditions conducted jointly by Educational Multimedia Research Centre, (EMMRC) Kashmir University and IGNOU back in May 2013 for posts of casual Anchors/Presenters. We cleared the auditions and were asked to take delivery of the official letters at our respective homes and join the station in June 2013. But we neither received any call nor the said letter. After waiting for seven long months we inquired about the issue from IGNOU but our queries went unanswered. Many of us have missed on some job opportunities while waiting for setting up of this station in Srinagar.

Ration trouble
We the residents of new colony, Palpora, Srinagar are facing a lot of troubles at the Ration Depot. The storekeeper refuses to give ration even if the customers possess the ration card. Every month tons of rations are supplied to the depot but not to the benefit of the common man. The locals suspect black marketing. When questioned, they claim shortage of quota. We request the concerned authorities, especially the Director Food and Supplies Kashmir, either to replace the concerned store keeper or sanction another ration depot for this locality.

Install more ATMs
People living in densely populated area of Batamaloo have only one designated Automated Teller Machine (ATM) which is available at the entry point of J&K Bank branch located at Bazari Batamaloo. Sometimes, because of customer rush on this lone ATM, or when it is caught in some technical problem, account holders have to run for debt transaction on other ATMs unnecessarily wasting their precious time. J&K Bank and other banks operating in valley should establish more ATMs in the interiors of densely populated Batamaloo for the benefit of customers.

Congested roads
We the students of Sopore have to face tough time while crossing the roads on the way to our schools and colleges. The traffic plies fast on the roads and vendors have further shrunk the roads.  No traffic police is deployed on the roads. Many a times we knocked the doors of high officials but no one seems bothered about this issue.

Unnecessary delay
We the applicants belonging to block Kunzar and Tangmarg district Baramulla were shortlisted for Gram Rozgar Sahayaks (GRS) supporting staff required for MGNREGA earlier this year for which we had submitted our applications last year. Most of the districts have been able to provide the final list and at present many are even working. But we fail to understand why the authorities have not conducted our interviews. Why this delay? Concerned authorities are requested to intervene in this matter.

Waterlogged locality
The street leading from main road to our locality is in a bad condition. It remains waterlogged almost for the whole year. We requested concerned authorities many times but they do not pay any heed to our problems. We knocked the doors of Block Development office, PWD office, R&B office, but all in vain. It becomes difficult to walk through such waterlogged streets.
