Experts on Saturday claimed that unique breathing technique eliminates stress, fatigue and negative emotions.
The claims were made at a health workshop organized by Indian System of Medicine (ISM) in collaboration with an NGO ‘Art of Living’ at Bandipora.
“The unique breathing technique eliminates stress, fatigue and negative emotions such as anger, frustration and depression from a person and makes him energized, focused yet relaxed with resultants of reduced heart rate and blood pressure, significant reductions in anxiety and improved immune cell counts,” the experts said.
The workshop organized with an aim to improve the immunity of the people with different exercises, was chaired by Divisional Nodal Officer (ISM) Dr Iftikar Gazi while Vandhana from Art of Living was also present on the occasion.
During the workshop experts taught powerful breathing techniques to handle any difficult or stressful situation besides increasing the lung capacity to help fight breathlessness due to COVID-19.
On the occasion Divisional Nodal Officer Dr Iftikhar urged the people to practice deep breathing exercises to increase their immunity and added that the COVID-19 affects lungs and increasing lung capacity through deep breathing will help to fight the disease.
He said more such programs will be held in future to pass the message to the people especially the frontline workers.
