Jammu and Kashmir likely to witness moderate to heavy rains, snowfall between Feb 5 and 8

Most parts of the Jammu and Kashmir are likely to receive moderate to heavy rain and snowfall between February 5 and 8, a weather report said on Sunday.

“Moderate to heavy rain and snowfall will occur over Anantnag, Badgam, Bandipore, Baramulla, Doda, Ganderbal, Jammu, Kargil, Kulgam, Kupwara, Leh, Pulwama, Punch, Rajouri, Ramban, Reasi, Samba, Shupiyan, Srinagar and Udhampur of Jammu and Kashmir between Feb 5 and 8,” Skymet Weather said in its weather forecast report.

   

Also, Indian Meteorological Department in its evening forecast on Sunday predicted thunderstorm accompanied with hailstorm at isolated places over Jammu division of Jammu and Kashmir on February 5.

For February 6, IMD forecast heavy rain and snow at isolated places over Jammu and Kashmir.

“Thunderstorm accompanied with hailstorm at isolated places likely over Jammu division of

Jammu & Kashmir, lower reaches of Himachal Pradesh and Uttrakhand, Punjab, Haryana, north

Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh,” the weather report said.

Similarly on February 7, the weather report said heavy rain/snow are likely at isolated places over Jammu & Kashmir.
