Jammu and Kashmir: Two houses damaged as India-Pak troops exchange firing in Uri

According to reports, two residential houses at Tillawari and Thajal near Line of Control (LoC) in Uri area suffered damage after they were hit by shells fired from across the LoC.

Two residential houses have suffered damage in Uri following exchange of fire between Indian and Pakistani troops in Uri area of Baramulla district on Thursday morning.  

According to reports, two residential houses at Tillawari and Thajal near Line of Control (LoC) in Uri area suffered damage after they were hit by shells fired from across the LoC.  

According to reports, people from several areas of Uri which include Thajal, Tillawari, Churanda are fleeing from their houses and authorities have asked the health department to be on alert. 

"We have kept scores of vehicles ready to evacuate people from the affected area and have kept ambulances ready in case emergency arises" SDPO Uri, Javed Ahmad Shah said.
