JKJCCPS holds Ist general meeting

Jammu and Kashmir Joint Coordination Committee of Private Schools (JKJCCPS) held its first general meeting on Wednesday in which over representatives of 90 schools from different districts of Kashmir participated in the meeting, a spokesman of the JKJCCPS said in a statement. 

The convention was held at Hat Trick Public School Zakura during which speakers highlighted the role of Coordination Committee for brining all the schools under one umbrella to address issues they are facing.

   

In his key-note address, President JKJCCPS Showkat Chowdhary said the Coordination Committee was formed so that a single platform is established for all the schools in all the three regions of the state for the redressal of their grievances.

He said after the formation of the JKJCCPS, they have met education minister, finance minister, chairman of the fee fixation committee and various other authorities to address various issues.

He said they got the term of the registration of the school extended from one year to five years and further said the Coordination Committee would further seek the registration duration upto 10 years.

During the meeting it was also resolved that teacher and student exchange programme would be organized besides holding inter-school competitions to improve the standard of the education in the state.
