JKLF chief Yasin Malik visits pellet victim Hiba Nisar at SMHS hospital

Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chief Muhammad Yasin Malik on Thursday visited 19-month-old pellet victim Hiba Nisar, who underwent second eye surgery at SMHS Hospital yesterday.

Malik drove to SMHS hospital today afternoon soon after he visited Mugjund where three militants were killed in a gunfight on Sunday morning, said a JKLF spokesman.

Malik inquired about the well-being of Hiba from her parents.

Hiba is the youngest pellet victim in the current phase of violence in Kashmir, joining approximately 1,200 others hit in the eyes in the state since 2016.

Hiba was injured on November 25, after protests broke out at her village in Kapran, Shopian, following an encounter during which six militants were killed by government forces.
