JKLF (R) pays tributes to 2008 agitation martyrs

Greater Kashmir

Srinagar, June 23: The Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (R) chairman Farooq Ahmad Dar alias Bitta Karate and senior vice-chairman Javid Ahmad Mir on Wednesday paid tributes to martyrs of 2008 Amarnath land row agitation.
Addressing a function organized by the party in memory of Feroze Ahmad Rah alias Hassan Chacha and 62 others martyrs, the Front leaders said, “When people protest in other states they are not showered bullets by the police and other forces while in J&K civilians are killed without any justification to suppress their voice for freedom.”
They said Kashmiris could not be cowed down by the statements of pro-India politicians and they would continue their struggle.
They demanded that India and Pakistan during the proposed talks should exchange the lists of thousands of disappeared youth of J&K. “Thousands of youth have been subjected to enforced disappearance and many have been martyred in fake encounters,” they said. Other Front leaders were also present.
Meanwhile, Front leaders paid tributes to Shaheed Javid Ahmad Malla and expressed solidarity with his family.
