The J&K Public Service Commission has issued a clarification for the benefit of general public.
According to the statement issued by JKPSC, in Jammu Centrethe Question-cum-Answer Booklet of “Range Officers General Knowledge paper” tobe held on March 25 due to packing in wrong box by printer with seals intactwere circulated to some candidates on March 24 and same were collected back bysupervisor after finding that this was not the relevant paper and immediatelythe other sealed box containing the “Question-cum-Answer Book” of Essay paperwere distributed to the candidates.
“After the exams of Essay Paper concluded peacefully on March 24 in both the Examination Centres,phone calls started pouring in from Srinagar Centre based candidates allegingthat the question paper of General Knowledge (compulsory) which was scheduledfor March 25 has been seen by somecandidates at Jammu Centre, even few students messaged few questions and partsthereof and same were tallied with theoriginal manuscript and it was found that none of the questions matched fullywith the original Manuscript,” reads the statement.
The Deputy Controller of Examinations, J&K PSC,Srinagar has taken up with concernedPolice Station for lodging of FIR of the incident.
A detailed report on the incident has also been sought fromDirector General of Police J&K andthe Divisional Commissioner Kashmir.
In view of the above, it is for the information of allconcerned that the future course of action, regarding the conduct ofexamination of the optional papers (Botany, Silviculture and Field Crop) ofRange Officer Grade-I (Forest) at Srinagar Centre of those candidates who werepresent in the examination hall and were not allowed to attempt the questionpaper and the candidature of other erring candidates shall be subject to theoutcome of the FIR, detailed report from the Director General of Police J&Kand Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir.
