JKSM seeks release of detainees on humanitarian grounds

Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) today sought release of its detained party activists and other youth on humanitarian grounds.

“More than 20 JKSM workers and hundreds of youths have been arrested and lodged in Chadoora, Shrar-e-Sharief, Beerwah, Khan Sahab, Magam, Budgam, Humhama and Narbal police stations in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district,” a spokesman of the JKSM, in a statement today, said.

   

The spokesman said, “Political workers are being harassed and detained in the name of elections. JKSM demands immediate release of all detainees on humanitarian grounds.”
