Jammu & Kashmir Teachers’ Forum today elected Fayaz Ahmad Malik as its District President Bandipora.
Malik won by a close margin of four votes defeating hiscontender Ghulam Nabi Khan.
The process for the election had been set in motion almost aweek before by publicizing a notification as the term of the outgoing DistrictPresident had expired, a statement here said.
After scrutiny two candidates were found eligible forcontest. The polling was today held atthe Middle School Sumbal.
“The polling went for almost 4 hours and results weredeclared immediately after the closure of poll,” it said.
