Justice Ali Mohammad Magray, who is also administrative Judge/portfolio Judge for Baramulla district, Saturday visited court complex Sopore and took stock of court functioning and other infrastructural facilities available there.
Justice Magray took a comprehensive review of variousfacilities for litigating public and lawyers and held a detailed review ofinfrastructural facilities available.
He stressed for ensuring timely and inexpensive disposal ofpending cases for litigating public and for enhancing endeavors with referenceto disposal of cases in line with mandate of law and encouraging AlternativeDispute Redressal Mechanism outside routine procedural mechanism.
The President Bar Association Sopore submitted a memorandumto Justice Magray, seeking his special intervention for redressal of theirgrievances. District Development Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo and otherofficers were present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, Justice Magrey visited Bandipora district andinspected on-going work on new court complex. Principal District and SessionsJudge Bandipora Syed Sarfaraz Ahmad Shah, District Development CommissionerBandipora, Shahbaz Ahmad Mirza, SSP Bandipora Rahul Malik and other officers ofjudiciary and district administration were present on the occasion.
Justice Magray impressed upon executing agency to speed upwork on the project and ensure that it was completed within stipulated timeframe.
Later Justice Magray, who is also Chairman Building andInfrastructure Committee, J&K High Court, visited Ganderbal and chaired ameeting to take stock of acquisition of land proposed for new court complex andrepair of existing court complex as per National Module.
The meeting held a detailed review of land proposed for newcourt complex with district administration. The Principal District &Sessions Judge briefed about the status of land identified for the constructionof new district court complex adjacent to SSP Office Complex Ganderbal.
