Kangan man critically injured in bear attack

A man was critically injured on Sunday after a wild bear attacked him in Kangan area of Ganderbal district in central Kashmir.

The injured man was identified as Nazir Ahmad Gojar (38) son of Abdul Rashid Gojar of Hayan village.

An official said that Gojar was attacked when he was grazing his cattle in the nearby Sindh range forest area.

He said that Nazir was rescued by locals and shifted to sub district hospital Kangan.

A health official at sub district hospital Kangan said Gojar has suffered “critical injuries” in the attack.
