Life returned to normal in Kangan town of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Tuesday after two- day spontaneous shutdown against the killing of a local youth.
All shops and other business establishments opened while transporters resumed their activities.
Class work has been suspended at Govt Degree College Kangan and Govt boys and girls higher secondary schools.
Meanwhile, people continued to visit the family of slain civilian Amir Hamid at their residence in Chhatergul to express condolences.
Hamid, a student of Degree College Ganderbal, after being critically injured in clashes with government forces on April 3 near power house Kangan succumbed at SKIMS Soura on Sunday.
Clashes had erupted in the area against the killing of another civilian, Gowhar Ahmad Rather of Jamia market Kangan, in police action.
