Kangan youth missing, family appeals him to return home

The family members of a youth who has gone missing from Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district have appealed him to return home.

Officials have identified the missing youth as Shafat AhmadMalik (25) son of Muhammad Yusuf Malik.

   

The family members said that Malik had left for SMHSHospital in Srinagar for a medical check-up on April 28 but did not returnhome.

The police said that the family lodged a missing report onApril 30 at Kangan police station.

The family members told Greater Kashmir that Malik wasworking as a salesman at a footwear shop in Srinagar but had recently left thejob to extend a helping hand in domestic works.

“Shafat last talked with his elder brother Shahid at around2 pm the day he left for a medical check-up. Since April 28 his cell phone iscontinuously powered off,” a family member said.

Station House Officer Kangan said that the police was making strenuous efforts to trace the missing youth.
