Kangan youth missing for 4 days

KA youth from Kangan area in central Kashmir is “missing” for four days.

Officials said that Shafat Ahmad Malik, 25, son of MohammadYosuf Malik left his home at Thune Kangan on April 29 morning for SMSHShospital Srinagar to have a health check up, but since then he has notreturned.

   

They said his family members after failing to trace him,filed a missing report at police station Kangan on April 30.

A family member told Greater Kashmir that “Shafat afterpassing his Matriculation examination, was working as salesman at a footwearshop in Srinagar for some time.”

“Presently he was, however, doing domestic work at his homeat Thune Kangan,” he said.

Shafat has in his family his father, brother and two sisters.His mother has died some years before.

Khurshid Ahmad, SHO Kangan told Greater Kashmir onThursday afternoon that they are trying to trace the youth and “find somethingconcrete about his whereabouts”.

Mohammad Yosuf Malik,father, has appealed the police and the people at large to help the familytrace their son.
