KAS Mains 2016: Examination of first two papers postponed, rest as per schedule

Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) on Wednesday announced postponing of first two papers of KAS Mains Exam, scheduled from tomorrow.

“The examination of first two papers or KAS Mains 2016 exams has been postponed. Rest of the examination will be held as per schedule,” said a source.

   

The examination of both these papers was scheduled on Feb 15 and 17.

He said that the decision was taken in a meeting held today in the backdrop of reports of students being stranded on Jammu-Srinagar highway due to bad weather.

The full Commission of J&K Public Service Commission in its meeting held today reviewed the arrangements made for conduct of J&K Combined Competitive (Mains) Examination-2016 and after detailed briefing by the Controller of Examinations, it was found that all arrangements are in place.

However, taking into account the aftermath of recent snowfall and closure of National Highway/ other roads the Commission decided to defer the Examinations originally scheduled for 15th and 17th February, 2018 (General Studies-Paper I &II, General English and Essay in English) and the next date for these papers shall be notified separately, said an official statement.

The rest of the schedule shall remain unchanged i.e the examination shall commence from 19th February, 2018 on the dates and at venues already notified.
