The students of Kashmir University on Monday held a protestagainst the rape of a minor girl in Sumbal area of north Kashmir’s Bandiporadistrict last week.
Scores of students from various departments assembled insidethe campus and staged a protest. The protesting students were demanding sternpunishment against the accused.
They also demanded action against the school principal whohad allegedly issued a certificate declaring the accused a minor.
Peaceful protests were going on when this report was beingfiled.
