Kawoosa Khalilsa villagers demand repair of road

He added that they have taken up the matter with concerned authorities and also submitted written representations before the concerned officials.

Residents of Kawoosa Khalisa village in Budgam Friday appealed authorities to repair the dilapidated main road in the locality.

A joint delegation from the village led by Abdur Rashid told Greater Kashmir that owing to authorities neglect, they are facing problems as traffic movement has come to halt in the area.

“The road is dilapidated with big potholes. The water logs as and when it rains. It forces us to remain within the four walls of our houses,” he said.

He added that they have taken up the matter with concerned authorities and also submitted written representations before the concerned officials.

“They assured us redressal of grievance. However, our pleas have fallen on deaf ears,” he added.

The villagers appealed higher ups to personally intervene in the matter and direct concerned officials to repair the road with any further delay.
