Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday assigned the additional charge of Secretary PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control & DMRRR to Khurshid Ahmad Shah.
“In the interest of administration, Mr. Khurshid Ahmad Shah, IAS (JK:2000), Commissioner /Secretary to the Government, Public Works (R&B) Department, shall hold the charge of Administrative Secretary, PHE, Irrigation & Flood Control Department and Department of Disaster Management, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction, with immediate effect, in addition to his own duties, till further orders,” a GAD order read.
The charge was earlier held by Farooq Ahmad Shah who, according to the state’s information department, has sought voluntary retirement from the service.
