KU holds lesson planning programme for B Ed trainees

University of Kashmir’s Department of Education Thursday organised a two- day Orientation Programme on “Lesson Planning cum-Internship” for B Ed Teacher Trainees which concluded here on Thursday.

In her presidential address Officiating Vice Chancellor KUProf Nilofer Hassan Khan advocated the great role of the teachers as she saidteachers are the architect of the society.

   

Dr Satbir Bedi IAS Chairperson NCTE New Delhi was the ChiefGuest on the occasion.

She highlighted the importance of Lesson planning andemphasized that teachers need to create the required environment in their classrooms to develop the wholesome individuality of the child.

She added that students ought to be given ampleopportunities so that they can realize their true potentialities.

Prof. Mohi-ud-din Sangmi Dean College Development Council KUin his address focussed emphatically on the importance of Lesson Planning. Hesuggested short courses to train the teacher’s viz.-a-viz. the innovativetrends and techniques in teaching and classroom skills.
