Three civilians injured in Kulgam were declared dead on arrival at district hospital Kulgam, confirmed health officials.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Kulgam, Dr Fazil Kochak confirmed the deaths of three civilians.
He said ten injured civilians were brought to district hospital Kulgam. “Three were declared dead on arrival at the facility. Five were referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment,” he told Greater Kashmir.
An official said that twelve injured were brought to Anantnag district hospital for treatment. “Three had bullet injuries,” he said, adding that three were referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment.
Earlier, police said a civilian was killed in a blast at the site of gunfight in Laroo village of Kulgam.
Three militants were also killed in the five-hour-long gunfight that broke out today morning.
