KU’s law deptt holds condolence meet for Prof Akram Mir

A condolence meeting was held on Friday at University of Kashmir’s Law Department to pay tribute to the former head and dean of the department Prof Akram Mir, who passed away here on Tuesday. 

According to a varsity statement, the condolence meeting wasattended by Dean School of Law, Prof Muhammad Hussain, President KUTA DrMuheet, Director CCAS Prof GN Khaki, General Secretary KUTA, senior facultymembers of the different departments, faculty members of School of Law andhundreds of students.

   

Recalling the contribution of Prof Akram Mir towards theuniversity in general and Law School in particular, Dean School of Law ProfMuhammad Hussain said, as an academician Prof Akram brought the law departmentof the university on the national map. Prof GN Khaki described the deceased asone of the great scholars who lived a very simple life.

 On the occasion, Duae Magfirat was also offered for the deceased.
