KWT provides food packets to poor families

In an effort to provide helping hand to the needy, Kashmir Welfare Trust (KWT) Friday distributed food packets among the needy. During this process, the health advisories and social distancing was maintained to ensure that no government order was violated.

The volunteers of KWT identified the families which wereprovided the food packets.

   

“We are thankful to the district administration forproviding us all help and facilitating our movement and cause,” said ManzoorAhmad Wangnoo, Chairman of Trust. “Many families are running short of ediblesand people are without work and money to buy basic things. So we have decidedto do our bit by providing the essential items to needy families at theirdoorstep,” he said. “KWT is committed to provide food packets to one thousandfamilies on daily basis. I thank deputy commissioner Srinagar Shahid IqbalChoudhary and ADC Srinagar for their help,” he said.

He informed that KWT is doing this work carrying incollaboration with Private Schools’ Association of Jammu and Kashmir (PSAJK),whose chairman G N Var, said the relief is being undertaken under thesupervision of the head of Environment & Relief Council.
