Lashkar thanks people for attending funerals of Bangroo, Fahad

Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) on Thursday expressed concern over the killing of Raees Ahmed by the forces at Fateh Kadal on Wednesday.

“Forces with their oppressive attitude are forcing the youth to pick up gun against oppression,”  LeT spokesman Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi quoted  the outfit chief Mahmood Shah as having said in an e-mailed to statement to a local news agency KNS.

Shah said, “If New Delhi continues with its behavior then the day is not far when the children of Jammu Kashmir will pickup  guns instead of stones against forces.”

The LeT chief said, “The Government of India is spilling the blood of innocent youth to win 2019 elections. None can realize the feelings of a mother who watched the atrocities being inflicted upon her son by the forces.”

Mahmood Shah thanked the public for attending the funeral prayers of Mehraj-ud-din Bangroo and Fahad Mushtaq. “Participation of thousands of Kashmiris in the funeral prayers of militants is enough for the world, the international organizations and New Delhi to see that Kashmiris stand in solidarity with the militants.”

“Militants and the public are on the same page.  New Delhi is trying hard to damage this trust by planting misconceptions, and by killing those associated with indigenous struggle. But by Allah SWT, such vicious plots are bound to fail,” the statement added. Meanwhile, Shah paid rich tributes to Showkat Ahmed Bhatt who was killed in Padgampora and said that “The pure blood of youth won’t go in a vain.”
