The law Society, School of Law, University of Kashmir (KU) organised “Bahaar-e-Ramadan” festival 2019 at Department of Law, KU on Saturday.
Registrar KU, Dr Nisar A Mir and Dean Social Sciences,Prof.Asifa Jan were the special guests on the occasion.
Welcoming to the guests and participants Prof. MohammadHussain, Head and Dean School of law, KU, said “Law society is the society ofstudents which works for social causes and issues. This month is veryauspicious to work for our afterlife and we assure that more of such programswill be organised in future.”
Speaking on the occasion Registrar KU said “I am very happyto be part of this event. I have an oldattachment with this department and I want to assure them that all issues facedby the department would be resolved in a time bound manner.”
Talking about the importance of spiritual life, Prof. GNKhaki Provost Boys Hostel KU said” There are two parts of life, spiritual lifeand professional life. One needs to balance both of them to live a fulfillingand blissful life.” He requested students to contribute in society building andspreading humanity which are important than scientific discoveries.”
The various events which were organized in the festivalincluded Azaan Competition, Qirat competition, Naat competition, Collagecompetition, Painting &Calligraphy competition. The festival was attendedby students from various law colleges including Vitasta Law College, Sopore LawCollege, Kashmir Law College Nowshera, School of Legal Studies CentralUniversity of Kashmir, & students from Kashmir Law School.
The festival was supported by “SAAYA” and sponsored by JKBank.
Meanwhile Sheikh- ul-Alam Boys hostel Zakura Campusadministration and hostel boarders hosted a grand Iftar party at hostelpremises. Dean Academic Affairs KUProf. Akbar Masood, Registrar Dr. Nisar Ahmad Mir, Dean Colleges DevelopmentCouncil Prof. Mohiuddin Sangmi, Provost Boys Prof. G.N. Khaki and wardens ofall the boys hostels, officials from proctorial wing and administration werepresent on the occasion.
Dr. Javaid A. Sheikh Warden of the hostel said that this isthe second time we have organized such a party and it has been very excitingmoment. The dignitaries present on the occasion were very impressed by theboarders of hostel for throwing light on Shan-E- Ramadan. Dr. Nisar Ahmad MirRegistrar University of Kashmir interacted with the boarders and assured themall support and help for the development of the hostel.
