Leopard injures 4 in Pulwama village

Four persons were injured in a leopard attack in a far-off village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday morning. 

Inhabitants of Sangarwani village said at around 9: 30 pm, a leopard appeared in the area and mauled four persons. 

   

The injured were shifted to a local medical facility from where two of them were referred to district hospital Pulwama for the advanced treatment, the residents said. 

A team of wild life department has rushed to the area to catch the beast.

A wild life official told Greater Kashmir that due to the scarcity of food, the wild animals are descending on the local habitations.

“We have already issued advisories asking people not to venture out of their homes during ungodly hours,” he said.
