Two persons including a teenage girl died while another sustained injuries after lightning struck them at different places in Bandipora and Ganderbal districts on Monday.
An 18-year-old girl, Fatima Bano, 18, daughter of MuhammadSikander Malla, died while her brother was injured after lightning struck themoutside their house in Najan village of Sumbal in Bandipora district on Mondayevening.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident in Ganderbal, a 40-yearold man died after he was struck by lightning while he was working in hisfield. An official identified the deceased as MuhammedYousuf Mir son of Abdul Aziz Mir of Bakura, Ganderbal. Mir died on the spot,the official said.
