Government forces on Saturday allegedly vandalised property during a cordon-and-search operation in Midoora village of Awantipora township in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

An eye witness said that on Saturday afternoon forces barged into few residential houses at Shah Mohalla Midoora and conducted door-to-door searches.

During the operation, the forces damaged property, and thrashed inmates, in the village, alleged the locals.

Earlier, the forces jointly launched a search operation following inputs about the presence of militants, said an official.
