Locals block Bandipora-Sopore road to protest PSA against three youth

The residents of Kaloosa village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Tuesday blocked the busy Bandipora-Sopore road to demand release of three locals booked under the Public Safety Act (PSA).

The residents of Ganai Mohalla, including women, held a protest demonstration against the district administration for booking three youth under PSA.

   

The protestors blocked Bandipora-Sopore road early today morning, thereby hampering traffic movement.

They said that the three youth booked under PSA have been framed under false charges and demanded their release.

The protestors said that the district administration has levelled false and baseless charges against these persons as they were not involved in my kind of anti-government activity and disruption of law and order situation.

Three persons namely Sajad Hussain Ganai, Farooq Ahmad Ganai and Bilal Ahmad Ganai – all residents Ganai Mohalla Kaloosa were booked under PSA on Saturday and subsequently shifted to Kotbalwal Jail in Jammu.
