A LokAdalat was held today in the premises of District Court Complex Shopian under the Chairmanship of District Legal Services Authority A K Shavan.
Around 320 cases of different nature including Pre-Litigation were taken up, out of which 269 were settled by mediation and reconciliation. An amount of Rs 47150 was recovered as fine, while Rs 190000 was realized as recovery.
Besides an amount of Rs 130000 was realized from defaulters in bank recovery cases, and an amount of Rs 60000 was also realized in different cases, which was paid to the beneficiaries.
District Bar Association members, litigants, staff members,senior District officers of the District Administration and other prominentcitizens attended the LokAdalat.
