The management of Lovely Professional University (LPU) Punjab has decided to provide 100 percent scholarship to J&K students who top the examination at the university.
In a handout issued here, the varsity spokesman has saidthat the students will be provided full tuition and residential fee waiver totop 20 students of each of the recognized central as well as state boardsincluding JKBOSE, CBSE and ICSE.
“In the last two years, 3700 students with 90 percentand more marks joined LPU. Other top meritorious students can get scholarshipup to Rs 4.5 lakh,” the spokesman said.
He said the scholarships are not provided only forillustrious achievements in academics but also in sports, social service,cultural, co-curricular activities, bravery-acts, research and developmentworks.
“Scholarships can be availed on all the undergraduateprogrammes offered by the University. Scholarship qualifier students remain onLPU scholarship scheme throughout the duration of their respective studyprogramme,” he saod.
He said the meritorious students in diverse fields, fromacross India, can become a part of this league of extraordinary achievers thisyear-2019, as well.
“In last couple of years, LPU has also recognized thebest students who have performed well at state/national or international sportsactivities,” he said.
LPU Chancellor Ashok Mittal has said that LPU stronglystrives to provide higher education to all meritorious students.
“We are happy to help students of other states also byproviding them with this 100 percent scholarship assistance,” he said.
During the current admission session, some students fromJ&K have performed fairly in exams of various courses.
