Career Counselling and Placement Cell (CCPC), faculty of forestry, SKUAST-K organised a meeting of its members under the chairmanship of Professor Tariq Hussain Masoodi, Dean.
The meeting discussed threadbare various employmentopportunities that are available for the students of faculty of forestry (FoF).
The committee found it encouraging that the students offorestry get jobs in the government, semi government and private sectors.
The coordinator of the committee Professor K.N. Qaiser saidit was an honour for the university in general and for the faculty inparticular that currently “we are having almost 100% placement of ourstudents.”
“Students of our faculty are regularly qualifying the JuniorResearch Fellowship, Senior Research Fellowship and other competitiveexaminations held at the state and the national level,” he said.
The members of CCPC expressed satisfaction over the rate ofplacement of the students of the faculty in the recent past, a statement heresaid.
The Dean advised the CCPC to make Mock JRF test aregular/routine practice at the faculty.
Members of the CCPC Dr Anoop Raj, Dr P.A Sofi, Dr AkhlaqAhmad and Dr Sajjad Ahmad also participated in the meeting . Member SecretaryDr Syed Naseem Geelani presented vote of thanks.
