Man dead, another injured in Kangan road mishap

A man died and another was critically injured in a road accident in Kangan area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district late last night.

A police official said that a car (registration number PB02AL 5194) heading towards Naranag veered off the road near Pahilnar and rolled down into a deep gorge around 9pm last night.

   

One of the occupants, identified as Alam Rasool Khan (59) of Belu Wussan Kangan, died on the spot. Reports said the deceased was a fruit contractor.

The injured, identified as Mushtaq Ahmed Shah (45) of Fraw Kangan, was rushed to Sub district hospital Kangan where from he was referred to SKIMS Soura for specialized treatment.
