A 25-year-old youth drowned while swimming in a stream in Sumlar village of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Sunday.
An official said that Mohammad Imran Chopan, 25, son ofGhulam Mohammad Chopan, a resident of Runghama drowned in SumlarNullah when he
was taking a bath.
He said his body was retrieved by locals from the nullah.”After necessary medico-legal formalities,
the body was handed over to his family for last rites,” hesaid.
