Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday said that the use of explosive material like gelatin couldn’t be ruled out in the blast that took place at a park in Mansbal health resort in Ganderbal district on Sunday evening. Over a dozen civilian visitors were injured in the blast.

"It wasn't any firecrackers or grenade blast. It is presumed that gelatin, generally used in quarry blasting, was used in the blast,” a senior police official told Greater Kashmir.

He said that around a dozen people were injured in the blast, adding that they were given medical aid at different hospitals and all are said to be stable.

“This seems to be work of some mischievous persons to create panic when the park was full of visitors,” said the official.
