A team of food safety department headed by food safety officer Kangan Fayaz Ahmed on Saturday conducted a surprise inspection of various Food Sale Establishments at Kangan in Ganderbal district.
The team destroyed various food items which were observed in violation of FSS Act, also collected seven samples of edible oils of different brands for laboratory testing under Food Safety & Standards Act-2006. The food sale establishments were directed to strictly adhere to the provisions laid down under the law.
