Masoodi releases Rs 50 lakh for Anantnag constituency to combat COVID19 crises

National Conference MP Anantnag Hasnain Masoodi on Thursday released Rs 50 lakh from his MPLAD fund for stepping up the response to combat the spread of COVID19 in all districts of Anantnag Lok Sabha constituency.

Of the total fund, Rs 20 lakh has been released for DistrictDevelopment Commissioner, Anantnag and Rs 10 lakh each to Kulgam, Shopian, andPulwama District Hospitals for procurement of Personal Protection Equipment(PPE) kits, N-95 masks, and three layer masks to combat the COVID-19 crises, astatement said.

   

It said 70 percent of the funds shall be spent on procurementof PPE kits and 30 percent on the procurement of masks. Masoodi directed theChief Medical Officers to coordinate with the nodal district MPLADS to ensureprocurement of the equipment on urgent basis.

Masoodi has also directed the CMOs to distribute N-95 masks,and three layers masks amongst the health professionals including para medicalstaff at all District Hospitals and primary health care centers of all thedistricts.

“The party is alive to the situation, and we will walk extramile to lend a hand people in curbing the spread,” he said, adding thegovernment should on priority basis come up with an emergency approach of acoordinated and consistent response to stop the situation from de-escalation.

Earlier Masoodi has released Rs one crore for combatingcoronavirus spread on his constituency.
