Mega legal services camp held in Kulgam

 Under the aegis of NALSA and directions of Chief Justice J&K High Court, Justice Gita Mittal, and leadership of executive chairman State Legal Services Authority, Justice Alok Aradhe, chairman District Legal Services Authority Kulgam in collaboration with district administration organised a day long mega legal services-cum-awareness camp here today.

The event was jointly inaugurated by Kishor Kumar Bhagat principal district and sessions Judge Kulgam and Dr. Shamim Ahmed Wani district development commissioner.

   

On the occasion, the DDC said objective of organising such camps is to impart awareness among general people about various state and central schemes of government. He said the beneficiaries have been selected under different programmes in observance of merit in a transparent manner.   He also thanked people for massive participation and taking keen interest in the development programmes.

The DDC also urged people to come forward and get benefits of schemes aimed at their socio- economic development.

On the occasion  cheques worth 8.39 lakhs were distributed by Labour department and Social Welfare department. Besides 38 tool kits were distributed among plumbers while as Horticulture department distributed 100 spray motors and six tillers to beneficiaries, Sheep Husbandry distributed 87 blankets respectively. 

Later principal and district sessions judge and DDC Kulgam inspected stalls setup by the district line departments and enquired about the criteria and facilitates being provided to the beneficiaries.
