Mendhar residents await repair of middle school

The residents of Dhara Nara await the repair of local Government Middle School, which lies dilapidated since years.

Local youth leader, Ahsan Akram, alongwith other locals,said, “GMS Dhara Nar has 160 students enrolled in it and the government hasposted 11 teachers. It is one of the heavily enrolled schools in the area.”

   

They said that the building has sufficient space, but liesdilapidated, making it “unfit”.

“The building is in need of immediate repair, in orderto put an end to the hardships faced by the students. We have been projectingthe demand before the concerned authorities several times, but nothing has beendone so far,” they said.

On being contacted, Deputy Chief Education Officer, Mendhar,Lal Hussain, said that necessary repairs will be carried out based on theavailability of funds.
