Mian Altaf blames GoI for ‘mass discontent’ in Kashmir

National Conference on Wednesday held a workers’ meeting at Wussan Kangan in Ganderbal district to campaign for the party candidate from Srinagar Lok Sabha seat – Farooq Abdullah.

Senior party leader and former MLA Mian Altaf whileaddressing party workers blamed government of India for what he termed “massdiscontent and alienation” in Jammu and Kashmir.

   

He castigated the centre for their “wrong approach towards people,both in the country and state, which has resulted in people losing faith indemocratic system.”

“Whatever the government of India is doing is going tobe dangerous for the country,” Altaf said. He said that be it banningJamaat-e-Islami, JKLF, summons to Mirwaiz Umar Farooq or tinkering with Article370 and 35A will “prove dangerous for the country”.

He asked people to vote for Abdullah to send a message tothose who are “hell bent to destroy the integrity and special status of Jammuand Kashmir”.
