National Conference (NC) patron Farooq Abdullah along with senior members of NC on Saturday attended the funeral prayers of Benazir Altaf, the elder daughter of senior NC leader Mian Altaf.
The funeral prayers was held around 2:30 pm atBabanagri-Wangat in Kangan area of central district of Ganderbal. People fromdifferent walks of life visited Mian Altaf and expressed sympathy with thebereaved family.
Benazir passed away after prolonged illness atSher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) Soura last evening.
The deceased was being treated for last couple of years atTATA Memorial Hospital in Mumbai. Benazir was admitted at SKIMS few days ago,where she breathed her last.
Benazir is survived by two minor sons, aged seven and five.
