A militant was killed in an ongoing gunfight with the security forces at a village in south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Sunday.
Reports said that the gunfight broke out between the militants and the security forces shortly after the latter launched a search operation in Hind-Sitapora village of Shopian district today early morning.
According to news agency GNS, one militant was killed in the initial round of fire.
It said the firing was going on from both sides when the last reports came.
