Militants attack joint party of police, CRPF in south Kashmir’s Pulwama

Suspected militants attacked a patrolling party of the police and paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday evening, reports said.

They said the militants attacked the joint party of the police and the CRPF in Belov village of the district around 7:30 pm.

   

The police and the CRPF men retaliated, leading to a brief exchange of fire. However, there was no report of any casualties on either side.

When contacted, SSP Pulwama, Ashish Mishra said the police and the paramilitary forces were deployed to enforce restrictions in view of Covid-19 lockdown.
