Militants on Wednesday evening fired a grenade towards police station Lassipora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, police said.
SP Pulwama Mohammad Aslam Choudhary said the grenade was fired at police station Lasipora Pulwama at 7:15 PM on Wednesday.
The grenade exploded with a bang and policemen on duty retaliated by firing towards the militants. The militants, however, managed to escape from the spot.
Following the attack, army’s Rashtriya Rifles, Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF troopers rushed to the spot and launched searches to nab the assailants.
So far no one was arrested and no one was injured in the incident.
